§ 15.52.010. Declaration of policy.

The purpose of this chapter is to protect the public health, safety, and welfare by enactment of this section which:
A.

Establishes a program for identification, registration, and regulation of buildings which are or become vacant on and after the effective date of this chapter;

B.

Determines the responsibilities of owners of vacant buildings; and

C.

Provides for administration, enforcement, including abatement of public nuisances, and imposition of penalties.

This chapter shall be construed liberally to effect its purposes.
